Both my Hubby and I love style and fashion. Daniel worked in retail for years – and as for me, well I’m a girlie girl and I love clothes!
So of course we have a blast styling our little dudes with cute outfits. But I REFUSE to spend tons of money on clothes that the boys are just going to grow out of in 5 minutes. (Amen Mama?)
Tips on buying cute clothes for CHEAP:
1) Buy Second-Hand – We have a store in town with all kids clothing that has been previously “loved”. It is my FAVORITE place to shop! I found Bronson this H&M skull sweatshirt at that second-hand store for $4! Try and find a store near you that is a “buy, sell, trade” concept. That way, you can sell or trade in your kids clothes when they grow out of them. A lot of places will give you a certain percentage back in cash, or a higher percentage back in trade value!
(Pictured below: B’s blue shoes are from kmart when all of their shoes were buy one get one FREE!)
2) Sign Up for Store Emails: I can’t tell you how much I love getting an email about kids clothing sales! My favorite place to shop online for the boys is crazy8.com. After Christmas – I got an email from Crazy 8 saying that ALL their clothes were buy one get one for $.88! So I picked out a bunch of stuff for Bronson- and all of the clothes I bought for Maverick were just $.88 each! Other great stores to get emails from are oldnavy.com, gap.com, zulily.com and cottonon.com .

3) Wait for Sales: This one is tough – when I see cute stuff at
Disneyland, errr I mean Target, I want it right then, right now! But I’ve learned that if I wait it out a couple of weeks – all of the cute kids clothes end up either on sale or clearance. The brown pants that B is wearing in the pictures above are from Target, and I got them for 20% off! I just picked up a sweatshirt for baby Mav at Target this week, on clearance. Originally $12 and I got it for $3.60!! It’s hard to not “impulse buy”, but remember – when in doubt, wait it out!
